Is buying them new much of an improvement over the old ones Valdez, or are they a bit meh on range even new? :D

My old ones stopped working completely so I had no choice lol They're still not that great with their range even when new.

That's the one I got with my TJ. Stopped working soon after though. Easy enough to open up, to clean/replace battery (CR2032)/check circuit board.
The original one had one of the micro switches let go off the circuit board, another I found at the wreckers had the battery holder let go of the circuit board. Both fixable (when I get around to it). In short, if you have one that stopped working, open it up and see why, it might be repairable and save you some $.
