Guys,
I am in need of a replacement map sensor, but for the life of me I can't find one on the web???
I would have thought with a part number I would find bucket loads but I must be doing something wrong, can anyone identify an alternative part number? AEB025 is what is on this one
hmm how do I upload an image?
cheers,
Womble

Magnas don't have a map sensor they have a air flow meter. Pm/email one of our sponsors madmagna or check out eBay

hmm maybe I am calling it the wrong term? I found one entry for the part number I listed (in Germany) and the image is the same as what I pulled off my car.
If I could work out how to post an image it would probably be easier to see :)
edit: I checked airflow sensor and it is nothing like the bit i am talking about. This bit has a vacuum line a pressure line and an electrical connection

Commodore=MAP= Manifold absolute pressure
Magna=MAF=Mass air flow
EDIT; Is it a throttle body?

no it isn't part of the throttle body, it looks like this item: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/220826958114
sorry it is the only picture I could find

I May be wrong, but that part does not exist on a magna, well not in my engine bay at least.

Hmm maybe it is part of the injected gas system then? I wouldn't know what was original...............
Guess that makes it harder to find then :(

That's exactly what it is - it's part of your LPG system.
Why not contact your local installer, or are you hoping to replace it yourself? You might be able to substitute it with a different part number.
Google "GAS MAP Sensor AEB025" & see if that's the prt you're after.

As above, is often used on injected gas systems, it will nto make any difference when running on petrol so if yo have issues on petrol this little bugger is not your issue.
Perhaps some idea of what the problem is may assist

Well most of the problems are fixed now (does seem to run a little rich on petrol) rough idle when cold, stalling etc, now $4k later i went to get the gas side remapped and found that sensor was stuffed :o(

My local installer i wouldn't send my worst enemy too.... easy to replace myself just have to find the right part. the new guy I went to see for teh remapping is looking for a price for me too.
edit: new sensor sourced and on order hopefully I am back underway tomorrow
