Hey guys,
For months now I've been trying to get to the bottom of this problem, but still no answer.
The Problem: Shuddering with loss power when at approximately 1500rpm in 4th (auto trans)
To rectify the situation I’ve done the following;
- Change RH upper engine mount
- Complete oil change and filter (now running Penrite HPR10)
- Added engine treatment (Nulon)
- New rocker cover gasket
- Changed coolant (Nulon long life)
- Radiator flush
My thoughts on the following possibilities:
- Change the spark plugs and lead kit
- Change auto trans fluid
The reason I haven’t completed the following is because I was wanting feedback on which of the following or any other ideas of what the cause may be before undertaking any further jobs.
Additional Information
The shuddering seems to be more prominent when faced with the incline of a hill (slight), once the car either slows from the 1500rpm it stops, and when increase speed, allowing it to jump back to 3rd (2100+rpm) the shudder disappears.
Slightly noticeable at idle, I’m not sure this is in conjunction to the problem or whether it’s just the feel of a Magna due to being a V6.
The more feedback I receive the happier I’ll be! :woot:
Thanks
