Hi guys, does anyone know how deep the DIN slots are on a 3rd gen Magna.
I'm looking at getting a double DIN head unit but don't want one that sticks out.

I don't think you will encounter a headunit thats too deep theres a good probably 100mm free WITH my current headunit fitted.
Thats an approximation but I wouldn't see it as being a concern.

I was looking at getting a Double DIN unit but the hope would be that it wouldn't stick out of the chassis like most of them seem to do (atleast in 7" sizes)

You can alter the mounting points on the brackets to get the units to sit further back, ive done it.

I think you'll fine it's the brackets that determine how far out a head unit sticks. Test fit your head unit and see and drill new holes in the bracket if necessary

As far as a tl ~ kw goes, there is a lot less than 100 mm, thats for sure, but they fit, you might consider rca's with right angle connectors at the headunit..
