Whats all the parts needed for a manual converstion from 3.5 auto TH?
reason i ask is so i dont waste 2 tanks of fuel getting the kit or having to buy missing parts, or what is interchangable from the auto? i have done a search but can only find info for 2nd gens
cheers :)

serious.........
gearbox
sandwich plate..if it is a 3.0 box ,the plate needs to be modded.
pedals..dont use youe old auto pedal...change them all over
master cylinder and nuts
slave cylinder and nuts
LINES....
brackets for said lines
reverse light switch...some boxes dont come with them for some reason...
gear lever assembly..and bolts
cables...and all important clips for where it attaches to gearbox and lever
gear knob lol
gear-lever boot....dont worry about the consol ,as the auto one is the same..boot screws into from underneath
clutch plate
pressure plate
flywheel.............make sure the flywheel hasn't been disassembled...stuff's up the balance or something..pm Pickles..he knows about this.
correct intermediate shaft and carrier
drive shafts...though ,i think you can you your auto ones...at least the pass side.
knowledge on how to rig up the switch on your clutch pedal to keep the cruise working
New oil for the box
coolant to replace the stuff in your current radiator as i believe it is just as easy or easier in the long run to pull the whole motor/box out in one hit.
anything ive missed im sure some one will enlighten us.
If it is coming from a manual wreck ,then ALL the bits should theoretically be there.
AFAIK ,only the passenger side driveshaft is used again.
engine crane.....there is an AMC//SA one available for use/hire...check with Stewie....aka KrazyKR
Im no expert ,but ,im just remembering what we did when i did mine.
All of what maggie3.5 said is what you need to get, if you get the 3lt box there is a couple of mods that need doing, you need the intermediate shaft from that manual box ( this is the shaft that goes between the gearbox and the inner CV on the drivers side) the auto shaft is different. now with the 3lt box also you need to change the carrier bearing? and the carrier. the front engine mount on my TJ 3.5 was different, so had to use the 3lt front engine mount and bracket ( best to get the front engine mount and bracket anyway, the top gearbox mount as that is different on the manual). if you get the 3.5lt manual box, i think only the intermediate shaft needs changing and the top gearbox mount, the rest should be just bolt and go.

it is a 3.5 box, so with maggies list and your help with mounts, i can use the 3.5 auto rollstop mounts but use manual top strut tower mount?
cheers for the info :)
