Cheers guys,

great forum you fellas have here!

Today I`ve replaced the rear rocker cover gasket on my misses` 2000 KJ since it was leaking oil.
Did plugs as well.

I didn`t separate the throttle body from the intake plenum and I reused all the gaskets (egr-plenum) plus I used sealant to make sure there weren`t any leaks.

The engine runs super fine but something is giving me a big headache.

When I accelerate (either from the pedal or directly on the TB) there`s absolutely no response from the engine.
Seems like the accelerator cable is broken but is in perfect working order.

The car starts, warms up and holds the idle with no problems at all.
I noticed that sometimes the TCL light blinks, but it used to to the same thing sometimes especially when rainy so I don`t think it is related.

Any clues or ideas?
I was thinking about the TPS but I didn`touch it at all and it was perfect just before today`s job.

Thanks everyone.

Matt

Tcl model, will be stuck throttle plate, remove air pipe, clean tb and will be fine

Using sealant on gaskets is silly and only makes a mess, the metal gaskets simply don't need it

I only used a very thin layer of sealant around few spots on the gasket just to be sure..
Next time I won`t use it.

I checked the throttle plate just before fitting the air pipe on and it was perfect.
Just wondering, in case the throttle plate was stuck would I still be able to operate the throttle lever on the TB or would I feel it stuck as well?

I`ll check anyway, thanks for the tip.

Turns out that you were right Madmagna! The throttle plate was simply stuck because of some dirt, now cleaned and works fine. 10mins job, piece of cake! :)

Thanks a lot mate!
