gday everyone .not sure if this is the rite place to put this .. ive just replaced the auto in the wifes magna the replacement auto is from a wreckers that has been recoed 3 months ago . the auto wont go into 1st 2nd . it just takes off in top gear .. wont kick down . wont manually shift into the lower gears as well.the overdrive doesnt make any difference as well. since i rerplaced the auto the taco/rev counter seems to be about a 1000 revs out - higher than the actual engine revs i dont know if the D light in the dash display is flasing or not the light doesnt work . im wondering if it could be electrical issue or something easy to fix .. the nearest mitsubishi fella is 140 klms away.. if anyone can point me in the rite direction the help would be greatly appreciated....PS 94 TS sedan east west engine 2600

the gearbox is in limp mode . what was the old box doing before you replaced it . as it could be an tcu problem .

ive just put a shift kit in mine and its started doing the same thing this morning, check the conector for the solinoids and if that dosent fix it it could be the bolts for the fluid passages are lose and its not getting the right pressures

Inside the TCU capacitor inside the unit gets old and leak. That what happen to my old one and cause it to go into limp home mode.
