First up i am not a new member was here as maat1985 however have lost access to that account and been unable to regain access at this point which has lead me to create this account.

I have looked through the search however have not found answers for what i am after.
I am currently doing a custom exhaust set up i have a high flow cat. actually have 2.5 inch version (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/170528867569?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) a rear muffler rear muffler (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320829950464?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_500wt_1182)
a new centre (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330671927368?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1182)
and extractors (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150765217948?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1076wt_1168)
my drama has been with the custom pipe required i am after a 2.5 section to run from the rear of the centre to the front of the rear over the axle in the standard position. i have been quoted up to $300 from one person just to make the pipe (only one who would) or up to $600 to get the system fitted with the custom pipe.
My options are i know someone who can do good pipe welding but has no access to a mandrel bender so i can buy sections of straight pipe and sections of mandrel bends and weld them together. (how strong will this be) also what bends do i need i was thinking 2 90 degree bends for the centre pipe and 4 45 degree bends to go over the rear axle. also what style of hangers should i purchase?
other option is to try and find a second hand exhaust that is 2.5" piping and weld my mufflers onto it however have not seen one for sale let alone one that is a suitable cost.
obviously want to get the pipe work done as cheap as possible as i have already spent too much on the parts however i do value the fact that these parts will have been a waste of money if not used with a good proper high quality pipe. also tossing up stainless cus it looks better and lasts longer also my components are stainless so easier to weld together or mild as it is cheaper. any difference in sound or performance produced by stainless vs mild?
any help appreciated.

I will get a photograph of my exhaust system that me and my mates custom built in a pit tomorrow. We made the exhaust go under the rear subframe and I had no issues with it hitting anything.

We used the stock front pipe and cut it after the first 90 degree bend, we then went up too 3 inch pipe into a 90 degree bend (pipe now facing the back of the car) then a 45 degree towards the back left of the car while also slanting towards the ground, then another 45 degree pointing towards the back right of the car, and slanted slightly upwards for the fully JDM style. This was 3 inch Stainless steel with no muffler except for the stock centre. No cat, no rear muffler. The sound was this.

Good luck, I hope this helped.
