Hey anyone Know how to fix A engine high pitched hum through my system? I got noise problems since I put my 4 ch alpine in, I have recently moved and changed the rca cables from running next to the power cables going to the amp now they run down complete oppisite side of the car and they are THX monster cables worh rrp $100 (i got em much cheaper tho) and i still have a noise, I have noteced if I put the headlights on at all, the noise stops straight away, HELP i need to know how to fix this I have tryed earthing the amps to all diferent spots in the boot but no change. I have ordered a 40Amp Engine Noise Suppressor, as is on http://www.autospeed.com/shop/category_1406/browse.html, But have not got that yet its in the post, any other ideas on how i can fix it?

thanks

This topic has been done to the death, use the search function. In brief, that noise supressor is a bandaid solution and mostly a waste of time and money.

Ground all your amps to a single solid point on the chassis, check the ground for your head unit, route your power cables down one side of the car and your RCAs down the other, avoiding components such as the ECU or any other major electronics which give off RF. Then set your amp gains properly.
