Yeah, im looking for some front seats to throw in my 1st gen, im sick of my crappy old dogged seats so whats a good slash cheap alternative to getting my seats refoamed etc.. I've seen a brand OBX on modyourcar.com.au but i wouldnt buy anything over the internet unless i got a chance to wedge my ass in the seat and make sure its what i want, i'm after like sports adjustable/reclinable seats, basically the sparco siena seats but i want two seats for the price of one (~$600) whatever i get i'll get recovered before i put them in anyway so brands mean nothing but who ever has replaced their seats or had them refurbished tell me the deal, cost, what you think etcc please. apart from booya, who got the top-of-the-line leather sparcos.. some of us DON'T have 4+ grand to spare on dam seats, my car is barely worth that!

The one that Booya bought is not the top of the line leather; it is the Roadster which does not have a reclining back and is covered in micro mesh. They are only about $800 new. For $4K you could easily get the Milano in electrical adjust with leather covering, plus rails to fit your car.

At a wreckers here in Adelaide they had the front seats from a TJ sports for $385 the pair. Fairly confident they wouldn't fit you but that's a good starting point!

Thanks for the replys, but yeah i guess if they dont fit its pretty much persuing the idea of newer models seats, been down that path, thought that would be a good way to go but actually getting them fitted and the price of second hand seats is just as much as like autotechnica sports reclinable ones. However i think thats how im going to have to go, although ive heard autotechnica are decent and they are very cheap, they have to be made to pretty strict aus standards and are australian made so you cant exactly make a seat that will fall apart.. seems like it all comes down to fabric quality and a brand logo i guess, oh and tek i have a vauge memory of talking to ben about his seats and i swear he told me he got the milano ones (which was what i was talking about) but if he didnt... who cares! the point was i dont wanna spend a few grand seats, as i'm sure no one would, if only everything was free eh? I've also thought about the siena sparco seats, but really at 600 a piece and i only rarely have people in the passenger seat i'd be tempted to just buy one, but then it'd look dumb.. i wish there was a seat shop or something where you could atleast browse a range in person and stick your bum in a few and see what you like and if it was really worth the money. :doubt:

a lot of jap importers have pairs of front buckets from japanese sports cars etc for $100-200 a pair. maybe you could adapt a set of these.
