The reason I'm asking is because i read from candlepowerforum that standard H9 produce 2100 lumen while our H11 only produce around 1350 lumen max. Link below show how to convert standard H9 into H11. I'm ordering a pair of H9 from ebay, see if i can increase my fog light brightness with this simple mod.
See link below on how to modify

A 50% or so increase in wattage means your wiring will be flowing 50% more current.
You probably need to speak to an auto-electrician and get them to check that the stock wiring gauge is sufficient for higher currents.
Otherwise you might melt your wiring (not to mention the plastic lens/housing that the globe sits in).

i wouldn't over watt the globes. It could cause wiring to melt or get super bloody hot at the very least. You'd even run the risk of discolouring the lens like flyboy said.
I'd steer clear IMO

65w should be fine but not 100w bulbs, i'm looking at the 65w H9 version instead of 100w type which is way too over wattage.

I did this in my Accord Euro and it was totally fine - and significantly brighter. Had no issue with heat - it is only 10w more.

Done the H9 conversion, initial impression is it's much brighter than my original H11, maybe around 20-30% brighter. Good simple cheap mod if anyone want to increase their lumen power.

As long as they are only used in fog......

It works & is awesome!!!! Waiting on 60MM LED rings for the shroud diffusers on the Matchbox projectors. I put some sneak pics on Facebook last weekend.
They have a flat horizontal cutoff shield ideal for foggies. 50mm holesaw through the rear but unfortunately it takes out the verticle adjuster wheel so they have to be prealigned off of the original set by marking the beam pattern on a wall.
