Hey guys, Just wondering what globes i can buy for my TJ to make the headlights brighter? they seem to be quite dim in darkness. i have been told you must watch what is installed (globes wise) because it may melt the plastic casing where the globes sits.. ( i have no idea what its called) any help is appreciated thanks :)

Narva BluePower 80% brighter and 20% whiter and is ADR approved. Philips x-Treme also has an equivalent 80/20 bulb. Don't know if there are Repco shops in NSW but they regularly have discounts on Narva range.

If you are willing to wait then the Osram nightbreaker (which is rebadged as the Narva BluePower in Australia) can be bought from UK via eBay.

Overwattage globes (i.e. globes that are a higher wattage than standard) can cause the damage you are referring to.

Philips make a set of "+100" bulbs that are noticeably better than standard. Narva/Osram also make similar bulbs but I forget the name.

Buy them from www.powerbulbs.co.uk - they're based overseas but have quick/free delivery to Australia, and are very cheap.

Also, welcom to the club. The plastic bits are the reflectors and the back and then lense at the front. What model Magna do you have? The lights you need depend on whether it is a standard magna or ones with the parabolic lights (clear front lense instead of diffused front lense).
