Had this done a couple of weeks ago. It is the good ol' Lukey LR2779.
Performance gains: not much, but i think there is problem with my engine..
Sound gains: Very nice, non-droning sound.

edit: removed number plate from pics!

is it just the rear muffler you replaced? or the whole system? how much?

get some metal polish and make that tip really really shiney and it'll look really good!

Looks good! Same tip as what I have :)

As said previously, a bit of autosol will bring that tip up to a really nice shiny finish :D

I hadn't noticed before.. it is a bit grubby.

I think it was in the region of $300 parts and install but I had a service at the same time and I can't remember the break up of prices...

It is just a muffler swap. I should have 2 1/4 pipes anyway right? extractors will have to wait...
I am getting new wheels next week (FINALLY) so i'll post pics then as well.

Also on the note of new exhausts, does anyone have a Lukey AL4-5597 ? If so how much $$$ and whats the difference between the LR2779?

I'm buying a lukey this week, i've been quoted some ridiculous prices like $160-180 not installed, and about $40 more to install, pls help!

Considering the price of some exhausts that doesn't sound too bad. For a good can you can pay around $500. I got a full 3" marine grade stainless mandrel bend high flow cat and 3ARacing can done at Carline Cronulla for $1200

you shouldn't need to pay more than 180-190 for the LR2779 installed... the AL4-5597 is a bolt on type (actually is the LR2779 with pipes already attached and ready to bolt on) and could be done quite easily by yourself!

I have the AL4-5597 bolt on exhaust.

Cost me $200 supply and install. I also added a nice tip which was an extra $60 so $260 all up.

I like the system, really works well and the sound is not overpowering. I have driven long distances with this exhaust and it doesnt annoy me at all.

Seem to pick up a bit of power as well.

Be that as it may, i will be replacing the system within a week as i am replacing the whole exhaust system meaning that i will be putting a big Cannon on the back too.

So, if anyone wants a two month old AL4-5597 in perfect condition, let me know.

I paid $260 all up, ill sell (with the tip) for less than $200.

Thanks for the info on that AL$-5597 system..

I'll go further into my problem; my uncle has suggested I go though him and get the exhaust done because he doesn't want me to get ripped off, though wants me to pay $500? What is he getting done with all my cash!? And if he knows the Owner of Lukeys in Perth and im not going to be charged labour and only for wholesale part prices, what the f*** am I getting?

I donno if its a mechanic thing, just can't communicate the exact thing thats getting done

if he's getting you a sly $500 job, its most likely a full system from the extractors back (including the CAT).... it would want to be at least a 2½" mandrel bent system (not press bent!) including a new hi-flow cat! if not? its not worth it!!!

i had the Lukey bolt-on version installed about a month ago, had a cat-back installed, so anything after the cat was replaced. Total including tip was $330 mate rates

So far i'm happy with the sound, although performance is a bit of a let down. Im hoping to do some engine re-tuning in the next couple of weeks and hopefully there will be an improvement.
