This morning I wen't over town to do some errands, then an hour later 10 mins ago, had to go back to do somthing else. Hoped in my car, key in the ignition, turned and nothing, not a sound.
Anyone have any idea as to what could be causing this?
Could it be the battery? Even though it was working fine an hour ago.
Could it be a fuse?

I did notice that, my central locking wasn't working, could that have anything to do with the problem?

Any help is appreciate.

Do the lights come on at all??
Batteries can fail suddenly. Mate of mine idling at the lights with caravan on the back and motor dies.......Nothing at all power wise lights etc.
NRMA turns up and pulls it to the side out of the traffic and checks battery.....dead as a nit....shorted internally he reckons.
New battery in and no problems since.
Check the connections on the battery and make sure they are clean. Vee

That sorted it out. I wonder why the battery died?

HMM. Sounds like a problem ive had. This could be bad. Your alternator could be failing. When the car is started, it will seem fine. But when it is not running, your battery could be draining through your alternator.

I have had to replace both the Alt. and my battery. The longer a battery leak is left unfixed, the greater damage occurs to your battery

You can test if that is the problem if you have a test light. Hook the test light between your battery negative, and battery earth cable. The light should turn on, but after 5-20 seconds the light should be completely off. If it does not go off there is something draining the battery. Dont do this test with the key in, or with headlights on, make sure the vehicle is how it will be when you leave it overnight.

Just feel the alternator first thing in the morning. If it's warm, it's shorting out in a power diode or the regulator, sucking the life out of the battery.
