Greetings All.

Would a TJ VRX exhaust fit on a TF? Like all the piping, intermediate muffler and stuff. Or not?

Cheers,

Ask Big Dan, (dejavu?)

Remember, the 3.5l block is slightly taller and I believe this is the difference that means it's not a straight swap. From what I understand though, it doesn't take much to modify the front portion. I'm sure all the hangers would line up in the same place.

Greetings All.

Thanks Redav. Will do!
I think ill get it regardless whether it fits or not, cause I know that I need the intermediate muffler, and the rear muffler anywas, shame if the rest dont fit, but oh well. (Notes hole in intermediate muffler)

the front pipe would be the only section that wouldn't fit. so maybe time for some extractors!

The front pipe is the flex pipe between the Cat-Converter & the headers right? Would I just be able to bolt the rest of the piping, Intermediate muffler & Rear muffler up to the stock cat & front pipe?? I would get some extractors but i have little $$$, hence me buying a second hand VRX/Sports exhaust rather then a totally new Redback exhaust.

Tonba, I'm sure that if it was an exhaust shop doing the work, then they could address the issues on the spot. Also note that any exhaust work you do now probably won't be optimal or compatable with the Mivec transplant.

Greetings All.

Sorry if I miss lead you Redav, but i dont have a MIVEC...yet. :D
I NEED this exhaust, because I have a hole in my intermediate muffler. Ill prolly just bolt it up myself. :D
Its only the cat back.

Take Care,

how much are you getting the TJ sports CAT back though? have you found out how much a performance red back cat back would cost?

I bought mine for $300. includes muffler.

Beware you will find the TF exhaust reduces in diameter over the rear axle I discovered this when I was going to put a sports muffler on. I bought a centre pipe only to find it was about 150 mill shorter that the original. I had to cut and shut the extra lenght of pipe into the system at the rear of the cat (Bolted no probs to the cat). After the small mod it fit purrrfectly. All the mounts are in the same places.
With the VRX muffler you will have to cut your rear bumper.

Greetings All.

Ok, now being a student, I have little access to $$$, so this is going to cost me $150.
It is also a sports rear muffler, rather then a VRX, same muffler, different tip.

I was going to get a second hand VRX muffler on my TE but don't really want to cut the bumper if possible. It's also going to cost me about $100.. so I'm not really sure it's worth it.. for a bit of noise? I really don't know.
