I am looking at adding a few LED's but unsure of the best place to take power from.
1. Glovebox
2. Front Door Puddle Lights (courtesy light power)
3. Front Door Handle Lights - Interior
4. Rear Door Puddle Lights
5. Rear Door Handle Lights - Interior
6. Front Footwells
7. Rear Footwells

i want 1 to come on when glovebox is open i imagine for this i would wire a trigger switch into the acc and wire the led's to the trigger
2 & 4 to come on when doors are open forn'ts to courtesy light and rears to the door trigger switch
3 & 5 to come on when interior light is on. or when park lights are on.
6 & 7 to come on when interior light is on. interior light circuit but where is the easiest place to find this cable not in the roof. front drivers a pillar? or where is it in the BEM?

Glovebox: I have found tapping into the constant power source from the headunit because it was closest, and having a push-switch that earths the circuit when its NOT pressed (eg, the switch you can heist from a Verada or whatever from the wreckers) When the glovebox closes, the circuit is not complete so it turns off.

Front puddle lights you can tap into the dome light circuit (red, red w/ white stripe @ the junction box) these will turn on when the dome light switches on when the door is open. (mimicks the "door" mode. they still function even if the dome light is off.) When I say tap, I mean the original circuit is fully intact and the new circuit is intact. Think of it as an alternate route for the electricity. In this scenario, the puddle lights will come on ALWAYS when the door is opened, regardless of the dome light being on.

Rear puddle lights I believe you can tap a positive constant source, and ground out to the door button (the rubber button in the door frame. You can get to this wire by removing the rear seat, IIRC it joins the loom behind the upper back seat)

Handle lights, you could make it part of the dome light circuit by cutting the dome light wire, and adding the handle lights to the circuit.

Footwells you could wire in similar fashion as the handle lights (making it part of the circuit)

When dealing with the dome light circuit, there are two wires, red, and a red with a white stripe. I can't remember the polarity so you will need to check this if you're installing LED's.

Pics coming soon to illustrate what I'm getting at.

Glovebox: First you need to decide if you want the light available at all times or if in Acc position. You can grab the constant from the head unit or the ACC from the cig lighter. Throw a switched earth in as desribed by scorcher.

Footwells & Door Handle lights: Here again two options: do you want them linked to door activity only or additionally to the dome light switch? If you're happy with open/unlock only then you only need to tap into the red & red/white wire of the roof loom. Best place to do so is either straight in the junction block (brown plug with 6 spots in top right corner) or along the A-Pillar. The red is constant 12v, the red/white is ground when any door is open.
If you want it triggered when switching the dome light, you need to wire it to the dome light switch.

Puddle lights:
For the fronts just tap into the Courtesy lights. It's easy and only takes a few minutes.
For the rears I'd recommend tapping into a close constant 12v for both sides, for example the interior boot light, and grabbing the negative off the respective switches.

with the glovebox light, i dont know about other models but My TF has one that opens when the glove box is open, and only comes on when headlights are on so maybe you can grab the light from one at the wreckers and it looks OEM

otherwise for all the lights that come on when a door is open, you need to tap into a light that is powered when the door opens, or tap into the switch directly possibly?

Just wanted to confirn before i do my wiring that the dor trigger switches use a ground. I was going to wire my footwell lights with constant power and then tap the ground/negative to the door trigger. Then also run a switch in parralell connected also to the ground. So they will be active with the door and also with a switch so they can be on whenever i want
