Ok audio experts, I have had my TL VRX for a few weeks now, fitted with the 10 speaker premium audio system, in dash 6 disk changer head unit. Is there a trick to getting the CD player working? When I go to load a CD, they won't be load, can't even put them in. Any ideas what the problem may be or even... Gasp... Know a fix???

Thanks guys...

I assume you pushed the load button first? And you've made sure the changer isn't already full?

I press the load button, disk 1 starts to flash, when I go to put the cd in, it won't even go into the slot, met with a solid wall. I press the cd button, nothing happens.

And before anyone asks, I press eject and nothing happens...

May actually be a fault with your unit then. It shouldn't lock out the disc tray unless there is a disc in there. Pushing and holding eject from memory tells the unit to eject all cd's. Don't know how that's going to help though if it's already empty.

All else I can think of is resetting it, which you can do either by unplugging the loom from the back, or disconnect and reconnecting your battery, which resets the entire ECU as well.

I was hoping that it was just something simple, its a pain it not working...oh well, guess I'm stuck with the radio till I change out the head unit to that Alpine double din I'm eyeing off. http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=286 tasty...lol

If you're just changing he headunit, do yourself a favour and get the Alpine power pack too. The stock speakers are very impressive with 50w RMS a channel running into them.
