Ok so i bought a 1999 Magna and im trying to understand the Vin Number i tried 2 sites that uncode vin numbers so to speak and both of them came up with nothing vin is 6MMTH8D42XT001195

'99 TH Exec sedan

6= australia, MM= australia mitsubishi motors, T= magna, H= series, eg TH model, 8D= 3.5lt executive, 42= sedan, X= 1999, T= tonsley park, the 001195 is the body number

Did you try mitsubishimotors.com.au? when I bought my TJ they had a VIN scanner tool for recalls etc. and it came back with my car/model.

i got the info from my work shop manual, did your car come with an owners manual? it may have about in the owners manual too :) glad it helped
