Here's a few for you all.

I'm having a slight shudder in fourth (automatic) around 1500-1800rpm, so I've decided to do a transmission flush.

Although, I'm not to sure which is the supply line from the torque converter, if someone could either tell me left or right (as if you were in the drivers seat) at where they connect to the radiator that would be great.

Also the capacity of the entire transmission, it said 8.5 including torque converter, however, this manual I have is quite general for all magnas from 1996-2002.

Last but not least, what is the size of the supply hose from the transmission, so that way i can connect a false hose to powerflush.

Thanks,
Feedback would be tops!

Once done add some shudder fix to the trans as your issue sounds more like torque converter issue which generally shudder fix will eliminate

Is this the Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder fixx?

Does anyone know the size of the transmission line from the torque convertor to the radiator? And the supply line, left or right? (as if you were sitting in the car)

A step by step process (tells you which lines to disconnect and everything) to do a full auto trans flush (which is the only correct way to change the auto trans fluid) is detailed in the Mitsubishi workshop manuals, download links for second and third gen magna and 380 manuals are in this (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97431&highlight=workshop+manual) thread.

At my last flush, I gave my mechanic 3x 5l bottles, and I got maybe 1.5-2l back...

Really depends on how much you value your time, I charge $185, you dont have to then worry about disposing of waste fluid, I also know what to check when doing the flush ie looking at the old fluid, checking for anything stuck to the magnet etc etc plus saves you having also to go out and get hte fluid iteself and then having a situation where you either have some left over or you need more

Any ideas on the intervals between topping up the ATF whilst flushing it, the fill to loss ratio? 30 secs... or longer?

IIRC, the hoses have a nominal 5/16in (8mm) internal diameter.

There are 2 hoses side by side connected to the bottom of radiator with clamps. The supply hose is the one closer to the passenger side. My supply hose has a fluro pink paint dot on it and the other one has a white paint dot, not sure if all modeld have this. I just disconnected the supply and pointed it at my bucket, no need for a hose piece extension.

24mm mate, and the drain plug is not on the sump, it's on the passenger side of the box.
Instead of connecting a hose extension just take off the passenger side plastic shroud and disconnect the hose that clamps onto the bottom of the radiator. There are 2 hoses side by side and my supply hose is the one closer to passenger side and had a fluro pink paint dot on it.
