View Full Version : Driver seat moves a bit backward and forward when braking

Hi and G'day to everyone. I recently bought a second hand 2003 Magna TL ES beause it is such a great looking car but I've noticed that the drivers seat moves a bit when I brake, I can also deliberately move it backward and forward. Are there any similar situations out there who might be able to share a solution?

Yes, it is a common one for the TL's... see this thread:

You can fix it (or at least improve it) by adding a couple of thicker washes to the bolts underneath the seat associated with the sliding mechanism. The thread above has a link to another thread at the end from a banned member which had a good 'how to', but this seems to have been removed. It's not too hard to rectify yourself with the right sized washes.

Thanks Mate, I'll try to look for a 12mm inside diameter washer first before I remove the seats.
