hey guys
a few weeks ago my key less entry suddenly stopped working and hasn't worked since
replaced the battery and still nothing
Does anyone know a good cheap place to get a replacement/repair?
I went to the key cutter guy at knox city and he said $129!
i'd love a cheaper option if there is one.
I love my verada but having to climb into the car and then glove box every time i want to get to the boot is just annoying and a stupid design.
Also.
Every now and again, generally if I have been driving a lot during the day
for example I drove to bright a few months ago and it did it after an hour or so
My verada starts to shudder as though there is not enough power to accelerate. on the way to bright, it would shudder and struggle its way up too 100 and then it would be ok, and then do it again once i slowed down.
If I stop the car for say an hour or two, let it cool down, the shuddering stops. My mechanic hasn't found anything wrong and obviously hasn't/cant be in the car when it starts to shudder.
Is this a problem magnas get? has anyone else had this or know what could be wrong?
Thanks!

My rents have a holiday house at bright, great place!
i live in maribyrnong and i got mine cut at i cant remember exactly, but i think it was like omega corporate security in footscray, i cant remember exactly the price but i know it wasnt anywhere close to 129 bucks!
Your car shuddering seems like fuel starvation. Could be a blocked fuel filter.

You will have to re-program the FOB after installing the new battery, also the solder joints do fail on these sometimes with the (+) and (-) of the battery holder to PCB to check that out aswel. Somewhere on this forum is the correct way to program it, i cant remember :\

When was the last time you changed your gearbox fluid?

yeah, love it up there!
I'm looking around for other places because no way am I paying over 100 for that haha
I looked at the board and the battery holder wiggles a fair bit and it looks like the metal connection to the board is a bit loose
I tried squeezing the battery down onto the board but still didn't work
could it be something to do with being on gas?
ahh the last time would probably be around 5-6 months ago maybe? when i got the last service

did they use dextron 3?, the shuddering sounds like the clutch in the torque convertor is slipping, mine has just started to do it but i'm at 284,0o0k
if they used genuine fluid, try some shudder stop from dr tranny.
