Looking to do a coolant change on my VRX and the book say just to use genuine coolant, doesnt say what strength or anything to give me a hint to use something else
Would say a 33% mix of tectaloy be ok to use?

Use Nulon green, 33%
Reason is only 2l comes out is the rest is in the engine

The correct way is to drain the block as well as the radiator by undoing the two drain plugs, one near the bottom of each bank.
I tried this but without a hoist I couldn't even find one of them and the other was very hard to get at and I couldn't get any leverage on it.
So I just flushed the old fluid through as best I could, but I left a fair bit of it in the block, so I filled up with a 50/50 mixture of Nulon green & distilled water instead of the normal 33/67 mixture. That was 50,000k ago and I haven't had a problem since (now on 131,xxxk). Other than having to replace the suddenly cactus thermostat at around 110,000k!
Apparently you can drain the block by removing the thermostat then refitting the cover. Otherwise the thermostat stays shut and you end up draining the radiator only.
But best to see what Mal says.

cheers, i had a feeling the thermostat was the cause. In my falcons the thermostat stays open enough that you can dump the whole lot by pulling off the bottom radiator hose, and topping up just as easy.
