I have an issue with a KF Xi randomly not starting, I assume its getting no injector pulse. The Hester core has leaked onto the ECU as usual but cleaning contacts/replacing ecu makes no change. Is ETACS a desperate unit or ecu integrated, in which case I can't just swap ECUs?

ETACS in the XI lives behind the junction box in the drivers footwell and literally plugs into it.

I know in the early cars you can swap the remote locking modules no worries as long as they are the same part no. But ECU could be different story. You will have to simply try.

We did an ecu swap already with no success, I am assuming it is an ETACS issue for the car not starting. I'll clean the contacts and go from there.

Yep. Apparently the ETACS has complete control.

It litterally plugs into the back of the fuse box though, the keyless entry reciever for the Verada is still there. Just try changing that.

Also, just try changing the key ring antenna (thing with the light in the ignition barrel) Try that first

The Immob is still in the same place as the Ei models and the Magna's, there is a crystal on the boad which comes loose and is often the cause on intermittant non starting

Epic Mal, smells like what it might be. Solder jobbie or replace?
