I have a 2003 mitsubishi magna verada gtvi the engine is starting to run on after switching off ignition
and vibrates through the exhaust system in engine bay, are their any mitsi mechanics in sydney anyone know of. thanks for any help

That is very strange as you need both a hot spot and fuel to do this, when you turn off the ignition the injectors switch off as well, unless yo have a leaker then this is very rare to the point I have never heard of it happening

Are you sure it is running on and not just a rattle in the exhaust

their must be a leak or fuel is not being burnt properly, when i changed the tube seals and rocker cover seals i noticed when i took the plenum chamber off it was pretty black on the engine side in the chambers, but it does run on for a few seconds not all the time and vibrates through the exhaust in engine bay, as you said maybe a rattle, i took it to a exhaust and muffler repair had the flange gaskets renewed, asked the guy why does the exhaust system rattle and knock underneath well he checked the whole system tightened the brackets but still i have this thumping sound which the guy tells me it's normal for Magna's but i think the rubber flanges are worn or the need new system, when i find a good mechanic and get the problem solved, i will post up.
