View Full Version : iPhone 5 + factory Bluetooth
Picked up my shiny new phone last Thursday, figured it was time for an upgrade for something faster. My iPhone 4 has been working with my factory fitted bluetooth flawlessly.
My Parrot system is on version 3.18, and I'm pretty sure theres at least 3.20 available?
Does anyone have a newer version in their 380 and an iPhone 5 they've managed to pair with it? I called one of the local Mitsubishi dealers and pretty much got "mumble mumble i dunno".

So to clarify. Your phone no longer pairs with the kit?
If so you may need to remove all previous paired devices from the parrot ck3000 (which I think is the dealer/factory fit option).
If you have paired multiple devices over time the kit gets confused as to which phone on the list you want to pair and stay connected to. There hasnt been any MAJOR change to bluetooth revisions between the iphone 4 and 5.
Try this:
Please follow the below steps
1.Hold the red and the green buttons together (in your case, the answer and end call button)
2.Click 'Yes', and 'Clear memory?' is displayed.
3.Confirm by pressing 'Yes' and 'Memory erasing in progress. Please wait!' - is announced.
4.Then the memory is erased and you can pair with new phone.

I have my iPhone 5 paired to the factory Bluetooth and it is V3.18. Works no problems.

Dealer upgraded mine to 5.25c
Need to take unit out of car and connect to pc with special cable
Other parties to calls reported much better clarity
Find dealers at www.strike.com.au (http://www.strike.com.au) who are Parrot agents in Australia
There is an earlier thread on this in this forum
Deletion of existing phones just requires both buttons to be held in till unit announces it is deleting - there are no other buttons to press

As above, I upgraded mine to 5.25.
Strike put me through to a Parrot installer in Brisbane who came out and upgraded the software for me.
I don't have an iPhone 5 though so I can't comment on that.
I contacted Parrot last night, they said I'd have to contact my local dealer for an upgrade. I'll try Juzzdoit's suggestion, I think the memory may be full, my ex, my i4 have been paired to the bluetooth, and my i4 dropped off randomly last week and I had to pair that again since.
I'll try it once I have some pants on and update on if it's working.
Although I still think my iPhone 5 is a faulty unit and I'm doing a restore on it tonight as well! Tech fun happy time!
Juzzdoits suggestion worked, the procedure was a little different though. I did a factory restore on my phone this morning and its fixed some other bugs too. One more bug to look at tonight but the Bluetooth is a big one I needed!
Thanks Juzzdoit!
Valdez, where's the wiki so we can out this stuff in it? :P
