Quick question, new engine has gone in and we've found out there is no way to keep the stock airbox and apparently there's no K&N oval pod kits in the country so i need to run something temporarily until they arrive, can i use one of these adaptors http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Plastic-Filter-Adaptor-CALPA1-SFA1.aspx?pid=155260#Description with a 3'' pod without causing any damage?

Actually i've found an aussie stockist http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=20774&cat=&page=2 ''Direct Fitment to Air Flow Meter'' so if it fits the evo AFM it'll fit the Magna?

You should be fine, if you can make a heat shield out of some sheet metal that would be even better.
