Hi all,

Looks like my 2x central locking remotes have failed on my TH wagon.

I opened one of them and there looks to be broken solder joints. I tried to fix it but it's still not working and knowing my history with soldering I probably made it worse! I didn't even bother with the other remote, it may just be a battery or more broken joints.

Is there anyone on the forums here who has experience with fixing these remotes that might be able to take a look and get them working for me for a few bucks? I got Poita to fix them a couple years back and they have been nworking great since but I'm not sure if he is active on these forums anymore.

Solder up the joints. Usually the battery holder breaks away from the circuit board if the remote is handled roughly. eg gets dropped.

Install new battery.

Link remotes to your car. Need to do both at the same time.

All done.
