View Full Version : Input shaft speed sensor

My car has gone in to limp home mode a couple of times with N flashing once per second. I got error code 22 "Input shaft speed sensor". If I stop and restart the car it goes back to normal.

Problem is I don't know which sensor it is???

I think it's one of these, can anyone confirm which one?

It's a 5 speed tiptronic.

6 = input shaft sensor
7 = output shaft sensor

Only good picture in the manual. Looks like 6 is closest to the engine.

Now that I rescued your bacon, can you tell me how you read the code?

(These sensor look similar to the cam angle sensor on a coil-on-plug Lancer. They also stuff up, shows the "works when cold but stuffs up when hot" behaviour. lol)
