Hi All - my first post.

I am looking at installing a reversing camera. I know there are a few threads here on different cameras and mounting positions, but I specifically wanted to poll people on the guide lines. Cameras you get off ebay can either be gotten with or without lines that are part of the image sent from the camera. What are peoples preferences?

Interesting.... I'm installing a R-Cam tomorrow, came free in the box, Lines or No Lines - didnt get a choice...I'd think I want lines.... Time will tell...

Create a simple plastic template with the lines that fits straight over the screen - eventually you will get used to where your car is and won't need the lines!

I have a car with camera with lines and one with a camera without lines. The lines are handy for parking nicely square in marked spaces, but that's about it, I don't rely on them for accurate proximity.

I have one with no lines and ive used one with lines. I prefer no lines. I find camera isnt designed to make you park straight. Was designed for you to see what you run over before you do. If you cant mount it centre(i couldnt) lines wouldnt help.

If your worried about proximity, try reverse sensors. Got em in the camry and they work a treat! Beeping speeds up the closer you get.
