Hi Guys,
I am planning to upgrade my bulbs to led ones and got an idea about the parkers and plate lightss use t10 bulbs. The reverse light bulb looks bigger but it is a wedge type. Can anyone please tell me if it is a t15 or t20 type? I am planning to buy Cree led Q series bulbs from US. They are bloody bright and white. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

it is a 15. t10 and t15 bulbs share the same plug it is the bulb itself however so a t10 will fit where a 15 fits and most likely a t15 will be too big where a t10 is meant to fit. but this is due to the size of the bulb not the plug end. when you change the bulbs do a comparison and you will see exactly what i mean. i have some of these cree ones coming they have the q5 5W LED and the housing gis some sort of proector style rather than led shiing straight out. cant wait to see how it actually performs will look amazing. i have purchased an extra 2 and will see if theyu fit as parkers. they will plug in but if thy fit in the hole i dunno.

Hi Matt, thanks for the info. That really helped me to understand.. so I can but t10's then.. it will fit anywhere and everywhere.. dnt have to worry about size.
And the Cree ones you bought, yea I was looking at them before and they are a pretty gud prize for the link you posted. I looked uop the Genuine cree bulbs which are around US$46.00 for a pair. I am planning to buy them. But I would like to hear about how you go once you get yours. if they are bright enuf then y shud i spent an extra $30.00.. lemme know. keep me posted here pls.

I bought a set of globes similar to the ones linked above, one of them has just died though (after about 3 weeks of use) - the seller is shipping me a replacement.
Your link is much cheaper than what I paid too.

The cree LEDs are very bright. I have a number of torches with them. They run on 4.2 to 8.4 volts, and draw about .8 of an amp.
Great for a spotlight, don't know how they would go as reversing or parking lights. Way over priced if they are $46 for a pair though.
Just make sure that the diameter of the LED bulb is less than 20mm and not too long so that it will hit the outter lense.

post 3 price is too high, ebay price is good though. Might get some myself. lol
Just noticed these contain cree-16 LEDs.
The CREE-16 5W High Brightness LED puts out 400-500 lm, and are not the cree LEDs I was thinking of, that put out 1,600 lumens maximum.
A pair of cree-16 in the front and back of my car should look just nice. lol Definitely getting some.
If you are interested in brightness, check out this cree powered torch! (I have three of these)

can u please post the link of the ones you saw on ebay pls..
I reckon that the crea ones would not be as good as ones that use 5050 SMD LEDs and have LEDs that shine onto the reflector to fill the lense fully.

still waiting for mine to come and i will be able to give a comparison between that and the SMD LED as i currently have 9 SMD LED bulbs and are very white and bright look at but as far as any light for you to see with when eversing forget about it absolutely nothing.
when i found these for that price i thought worth a go rather than buying the more expensive ones from the US. hopefully get mine next week.
