Head Unit: Sony Xplod
Sub: MTX Audio 5500 dual 4 ohms coils 300 Watt RMS @ 2 ohms
Amp: Kicker ZX400.1 @ 2 ohms
Front Speakers: Pioneer Splits 6.5" and tweeter
Back Speakers: Pioneer 3 way 6x9"
Description: This is my first car and i have just done a basic/clean setup, hiding the amp under the passenger seat which not only hides the amp but lets me run a short 8 AWG power cable. for the front doors i have splits for mid bass and highs, i deadened behind the speakers and mounted the cross overs behind the door panel, i have left the stock wiring because it seem sufficient for my needs. For the boot door i have chosen 3 way 6x9's for mid bass and highs, once again running stock wires and deadener behind the speaker, because the speaker has a deeper mounting depth i had to invert the mounting brackets. For the sub i have built my own box out of 19mm ply wood and attempted to bog it up and then paint it, which i think i will do again, i also black foam which evens out the box drop to a stable 2 ohms and a gold plated terminal. I'm running an aux cable through the center console and it comes out at the hand brake, i also have a USB charger (that is piggybacked of the stock 12v power supply) under the center console with an iPod cable that also comes out at the hand brake.

Nice set up. I hope you didn't get a cheap head unit!

The Sony Xplod isn't too bad it cost like $140, it sounds good. The sub amp makes a huge difference, thats where all my money went
