I swear by Mother's Back to Black.
Unfortunately, if you're referring to your rear window seal, there's nothing much you can do about it.
You should use a strong cleaner first, but stay away from anything with spirits. Orange Power is good for this sort of thing.
Once done, apply some 303 aerospace sealant to keep them looking new.

Where do you find 303 aerospace ?

Pretty sure virtually any good automotive store will sell it in the detailing section.

Great will try and have a look in Autobarn, thought i may have to do some real light sanding on the rubber to get past the stuff thats perished.

I have tried using few products out there. Plastic rejuvinators (megs ultimate, or auto glym one) work well, however its only temporary effect and i found that they need re-application every 2 weeks at least.
I have also used "forever black" (super cheap stocks it) its actually a water based die for rubber and plastic. Works well initially but again let down by durability on soft rubber (stays on much longer on plastic), for instance i did by windscreen bottom plastic trim with it, and after nearly 6 moths is still black. Be careful as it is actually a die to you need to make sure it does not end up on paint but it does come off with some meth spirit.
I have then used solvent based die spray, VHT vinyl/rubber die. Its solvent based so it really sticks, rubbers came out awesome and will last for years. I did not bother taking them of the car, just masked around and sprayed it on. Im yet to try it on rear sill, but will give it a go sometime soon.
