Hey guys,
Probably a silly question, but I've never needed to know this before recently. I've bought a stock air filter with the cold air intake to replace the pod filter which came with my 98 Magna Sports T/K, however notice I need a few screws/bolts to hold it safely in place. Are these available at car stores, hardware stores, or must I travel to a wreckers to try and find them. I live near the Liverpool area, so any names of places that would provide me with these bolts would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
Are you talking about the ones to secure the CAI intake at the front of the car, in front of the radiator? If so, aren't there existing ones? Take some photos of your engine bay and post the links here so we can have a look. BTW, the are called scrivets which is a combination of a screw and rivet.

The screw's located in position "1" are a real pain in the arse, they are called "scrivets", by my books, not too sure how to spell it or the real name, these can be had at any automotive place but getting the right size can be tricky.

Number "2" is a thread that resides as part of the battery box and the thread goes through the box and is secured with a rubber washer and nut, these you could by at a local or specialist hardware but its easy to go a wreckers to make sure you get the same thing.
Number "3" is just a traditional bolt with a washer that bolts the closest part of the battery box into the chassis through the bottom.
Number "4" Are just 2 clips that you would need to source at a wreckers.
So with all that said a wreckers is the easiest, if you have a self service wrecker near by that would be best or perhaps another member who could be making a trip to the wreckers soon might be able to help you out.
