Any recommendations on brake pads for the AWD?
Are the dealer supplied ones ok?
Also, when replacing pads, should the rotors be machined at the same time?

Depends on the condition of the rotors, grooving and rough patches means it/they need a light skin. (Do pairs, obviously)
Dealer pads, depends on the brand (probably cheap type but marked up a lot) - better off getting a known brand like Bendix yourself, do a search for good pads.

What's your driving style like?
If you don't mind a bit of spirited driving, I would definitely be getting the QFM HPX pads.

I guess i just drive average. I want pads that will work efficiently without wearing out too quickly.
I have no clue what the mits dealers provide.

Pads from the Mitsu dealer are probably soft pads at a guess, to give you good cold performance but would fade quickly on a long downhill run. Better off with the QFM pads I would think.
In normal use, wearing out quickly is not a problem with whatever you choose to put on there.

I had Bendix General CT pads on my Magna. I was very happy with them, as they were noise and dust free. Braking performance was fine. Didn't have them long enough to comment on life span, but I don't see why you wouldn't get a good lifespan out of them.
The only issue was if you went on an extended mountain run, they would fade significantly. It only happened to me 2 or 3 times, but it was those rare occasions that got me to upgrade to the QFM HPX pads (as well as 380 rotors and calipers ;)). Hence why I asked about your driving style.
For a daily driven car I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Bendix General CTs.

Go bendix ultimates if they still make them. Best I ever had. Feel like normal pads but never warp discs or fade.
I had ultimates and went back to QFM HPX with new rotors and I've already had to machine my rotors twice in 10 months and due for another round, due to warping and that's light everyday driving. My misses drives the car these days.
Never had any issues with ultimates except dust but saying that, the HPX give off a lot of dust too.

What does brakes pads have to do with warping discs? Ultimates eat rotors like no tomorrow, that might be why lol

Never had dust issues with box and certainly never warping either

Since I had all new rotors and QFM HPX on I've had continuous warping problems and as much dust as ultimates.
Yeah the ultimates chew rotors but you still get over 5 years out of a set so its worth it with good pads
Remember we fitted all the rotors and QFM pads for the roadworthy Mal. Ever since then.

Sorry mate but your the only one I know with issues, had them on my wagon for years so can speak from personal experience
They do wear faster aside from that unlike ultimates they don't chew disks sad don't squeal like banchies

Mechanic informs me that the pads are good, very high, ditto for the rotors.
I reckon they would be the original pads, so maybe 8 years old now, but they said no need to change em out based on age.
