I cant seem to find where i could get a gearbox fron. i got a 1996 te magna manual.plus does anyone know approximately how much it would cost for one?
Rare as hens teeth, from a wrecker expect anywhere in the range of $1000 and about $600 to have it fitted. I am currently in the same position as you and I'm a month in so far and still haven't found one.

So what is wrong with the gearbox? May be fixable, unless it really is "gone", as in someone stole it off the car while you were not looking. lol

No drive then if you are sure the clutch is ok. Might be the diff, or stripped spider gear splines or stripped driveshaft splines. Did the failure happen all by itself or did you create it by excessively enthusiastic takeoffs?
If you can't find another gearbox, having yours removed, dismantled and assessed is the only option, short of junking the car.

Would be caused from enthusiastic take offs. ive heard a reco on a gearbox would be around $1200
