2001 TJ Magna executive 3.5L
Hi have just had the alternator replaced with a new one just over a week ago....now the alarm is randomly going off (not all the time) once locked....one other previous problem before the alternator and this alarm issue whenever I would use the boot lock button to open it would find myself having to reset the buttons with the ignition so just stopped using it! If anyone could suggest some things on how to fix this issue would be great even how to disable the alarm until i can get it looked at...so i can at least lock it with out the shame of it going off!

Check three things.. They're simple and may fix the issue.

1) BIG Yellow Fuse in the engine bay.. You'll see it, you need to undo the bolt and suss that out to make sure thats okay.

2) BEM Plug - Unplug, clean and replug

3) Bonnet Switch - At times they start to fail, speak to Unique Mits Bits, he has a few bits available and may be able to assist you. <-- I'm pointing towards this one!
