sorry mate but if your asking this question
your telling me you should pay some to do it
big job, are you flushing the tranny ?
with out a hoist or engine lift , i think ya might struggle , but in saying that when i was 21 i could change a gearbox manually by myself
up to you !

But of a pain to do but no need for special tools. Driveshafts are what will get you. How high up can you get the car?

About 2 to 3ft of clearance. Ours is 6G72 24v DOHC auto with rego just looks beat up & the paint has peeled. we're buying another TE auto for a few 100 from a friend originally for panels suspension and brakes & a few other things turns out it run well only thing wrong is it's auto box & rego has run out, will know later today for sure if it's a match and if its got more or less K's.. The misses would like a new car and wants me & a mate to put our gearbox in it if its all the same. i'd want use it for parts & get ours looking and riding well again and keep rego rather than go to too much trouble to get the new car fixed and passed for rego itself..

Hang on, 2 things.
You say your engine is a dohc? Where can I get my hands on one of them?
Secondly, your finger is being amputated? Geez, tough road mate.
