View Full Version : fuseable/fusible links
Hi all,
Did a search but nothing on how to remove it so how do you remove the fuseable/fusible links in the engine bay fusebox?
Cheers,
Vlad
Haven't had a look at the ones in a magna, but if they're anything like the ones I had to replace in a mates fto you will have to undo the bolts connected to them, as they have holes where the bolts slide through to keep them there.

Where are the bolts? Hope I don't have to undo the entire fuse box.
I just had a look. The 120 is easy, you can access it moving the battery.
Have a look at the picture. There's one on each side underneath the fuse box.

Cheers for that xhai. I want to tap off either 19 (ignition) or 20 (power windows) to access ignition switched power.
Ahh hose two you can pull straight out, no bolts.

Hmm... tried to. Won't budge. Will try harder. Is it possible to lever out with a flat head screwdriver?
Some pictures of how it looks underneath:

The fusible link is quite long. A screwdriver won't work well enough. I pried mine with long pliers and a bit of leverage.
Hmm. Got 20 out very easily but had to use a pair of pliers for 19 however both have constant 12v.; cheers for your help either way.
