Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone has used this app along side the bluetooth adaptor which connects directly to the OBD2 port of the car to read engine variables (speed, rpm, fault codes).
Also which Verada's / Magnas have the OBD2 port and from what year model?
I had this running on my mums holden cruise 2011 and it works magnificently.
The app is a few dollars from the Play store, and the bluetooth (ELM327) module was $20.

All 3rd gen Magnas & Veradas have the connector (known as the diagnostic port in the manuals), however none of them support the OBD2 protocol. Instead they use Mitsubishi's proprietary MUT protocol. You can purchase an OpenPort cable and Evoscan software for a notebook PC to log data from the ECU via the MUT protocol (also supports OBD2). There is an Android version of Evoscan in development. See the Evoscan website (http://www.evoscan.com/) for more info.

Ive tried it in my TMR 380 and works a treat but not in my TL , will connect with the bluetooth device but not with the ECU, so no data:eek2:

Yea, it gets power from the port but won't connect to the ecu.

For logging only, yes. You'll need a copy of Evoscan too.
