Hi Everyone

I've read almost every muffler thread and couldn't find a solution so here I am!

When my TH Sports went in for service a year ago the exhaust had rust and was replaced. A stock system was put in as the service guys ordered the wrong part :eek2:

Anyway, this afternoon I unbolted the rear muffler and removed all rubber connections. However my mate and I couldn't wriggle the flange part of the system backwards past the drive train to remove it.

Is it possible to remove it without jacking up the car? We tried just about every angle!

Cheers

Jim

I jacked the rear of my TF to work on the handbrake and changed the muffler at the same time.

So you were able to just pull it out? I couldn't see a way to get it out due to the bend in the pipe.

I backed mine up on ramps and pulled it off. Can do a muffler change now in about 30mins this way.

Yes, I twisted it up and over with the car jacked on the body in front of the rear wheel.

Long story short, jack the car up or put it on stands and it will.come off.
