[QUOTE=magna03;1539724]front are 225/35/20 and rears are 245/35/20 mate ?[/QIf you are at standard height you should be all good, but if you're lowered at all the rear might scrub a tiny bit, front should be ok :)

225/35/20 would probably fit OK, but I didn't think that size was properly load rated for 3rd gens.
245/35/20s are pretty big - not sure if they'd be legal on a 3rd gen? Plus I reckon they'd rub on the lip on the rear guards. This could be fixed by rolling the guards.

thx for the feed back i am going to find out the legal side of it as i dont want it to effect my insurance also .
The 225/35R20 is slightly bigger than your OEM 225/50R17 in overall diameter. However, need to check its load rating (min 94 for your VRX). However, 225/35 is way to narrow for an 8.5" wheel. I had 225/45 on on 8" wheel and that barely have any protection to the wheel.
The 245/35R20 is illegal as it is way oversized. Legal OD in QLD is +15mm and -26mm. The 245/35R20 is 22mm bigger in OD than the 225/50R17.
Also, this combination does not really suit a FWD.

Thx for the info mate i might just give them a miss . The only other option is to buy the wheels due to them being cheap and trade them on some 19" rims that would fit better.

$800 for a second-hand set of 20s is a good deal but isnt anything amazing. Plus, I doubt you'd get a good trade in from a tyre shop.
Also, I don't think you can find load rated tyres in 19" for Magnas, so if you're worried about legality you might want to cross that one off the list.

what wheel & tyre combination do you think i would need as i have decided against the 20" size or should i just lower my suspension to make it look better ?

18x8 looks good and tyres are reasonably priced.
They'll fit fine once you're lowered. As I've said multiple times in this thread, the additional negative camber of the lowered suspension brings the tops of the wheel/tyre back into the guard, alleviating any fitment issues.

im running 18x8.5's on the fronts with 235's and 18x9's on the rear with 245's,
+35 offset, lowered on king springs and chopped further (lol). runs fine, no rubs unless under a full load.
