i recently purchased a phillips 7 inch flipout screen DVD/MP/BLUETHOOTH head unit worth $600 and have a big issue with the sound quality when using radio. it seams that is i accelerate or taje of the sound will drop out from loud to low. sane affect u get when i speacker drops out. i have since taken it back and had the wireing all checked and redone. it was then sent away on warrenty but they couldnt fault it either. i have tried the ariel but still no change. it only does it while in radio..... i just want to know cause since they cant find anything wrong with the unit they wont change it over or give me my money back

Never heard of this stuff going on before, its almost as if the mute wire is connecting to the antenna power wire..
However under Australian consumer law, if a product doesn't do what it should you are entitled to a refund..
This is usually a but hard however...
Perhaps you could arrange a deal, like, if you pay for an instal, and it works you keep it, if its still faulty, you get a fefund of the install and the faulty unit....
Good luck...

Hey dude, try to pull out your stereo and make sure your antenna cable is pushed in all the way :)
Also check the earth on the stereo :)
