As the name states, has anyone connected a remote start to their 380? I don't mean the push button start like some cars have, I mean, remotely starting the car from a remote.

If so, how easy is installation? Which unit did you buy? Is it better to have the Auto Elec do it?

My skyline used to have this feature and it was great to be able to eat my breakfast whilst starting the car for a few mins before driving off. (Some units also have the turbo timer feature integrated and is a must for all turbo cars - so it would benefit you guys too!!) ;)

mcs_xi has a push button start kit, which - if I recall correctly - also allows you to remotely start the car as well.

I don't believe he's installed a kit on a 380 before. But he's definitely the guy to talk to.

This here is what I have installed on my car, came with it when I bought it. - http://www.drdetailshop.com/V5900SST.htm
Not too sure where/if you can get the same one now. Or even get this in AUS now, I had to get a replacement remote, and
anywhere in AUS was about $150 or more, so I got my uncle to get one in the states for about $50.

:D Yeah I have remote start. I have had a quick look at the 380, but it is a whole kit with push button starting, proximity keys and remote starting as well.

So a big system.

Is it fairly manageable to install? Just locate all necessary cables from the manual and splice away?
