hi,
4th gear overdrive stopped working recently, and ive read elsewhere ITS USUALLY A PULSE GENERATOR.
No other noises, gears have always shifted perfectly, oil has been changed 4months ago.

can someone, (magna buff?) help me out:

#1. how to test it
#2. how to replace it.
#3. if a 2.6 g/box( and /or pulse generator) is the same?
as i have a complete spare TS V6 and a TR 2.6.
(But the TS V6 box has been damaged externally)
#4. A PDF manual for the '93 TR? the link to another PDF has been closed,
( mine was stolen:wtf::eek2: when they cleaned out my house and garage:kb:!!!!!!!!

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

from mr beep!

I'm not magna buff but here goes

With the overdrive failing, its generally the clutch pack. To get to this you need to remove the Drivers side wheel, and plastic cover.

Pretty sure theres 3 10mm bolts holding the cover on, remove this and remove the clutch pack.

I Have used a 4 clyinder gearbox clutch pack but make sure its a later model one - (93 On wards IIRC)

Remove it and change it over..

thanx for the reply,

but the link http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/member.php?u=26497 is a blank reply page to another member...strange.

i think the original link was removed for some reason, but found another, " Courtesy of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America"
