Today i picked up my Magna with the Vr4 engine in it from the mechanics and took it to the Panel beaters for the final spray....... And all i can Say is OOOOOOOOOOHHHHH MMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!! THIS THING IS CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! When it you floor it and it comes on boost the tyres start to fry like no tommorow. But if u can control it, its crazy fun. The acutator on the turbo is buggered so the thing is running 20psi which also adds to the fun. But the most valubale thing was the look on peoples faces when they saw a magna wagon fluttering its head off and going past them...... I highly recommend this conversion... its has a few head aches but trust me its worth it

Ball park figure i would say is about 5.5k without labour. that includes all the stuff u need including engine, zorst, clutch, cooller etc

I will have pics when its done at the panel beaters, coz at the moment it looks pretty sad. Headaches were:
-The TN Gearbox wasnt a straight bolt up so it needed to be re drilled
-Custom mounts were required
-Needed to install a oil cooler
-The biggest problem was needed a custom drive sharft which had to be completely made from scratch.
-The A/C isnt working because i need custom hoses made up.
-Patching the new computer in was abit of a ballbreaker.

Apart from those things it goes in allright. But wherever u have read its a straight bolt in... Forget about it!

But the benefits are worth it BELIEVE ME!!!!!! :D

Very nice, sounds awesome! I'm thinking though of some sort of s13 next year...5spd rwd and turbo are my necessities.

I am hoping that it is just a matter of the acutator needing to loosen up seeing as the engine hasnt been run for like 5 months... plus however long it was at the wreckers for.
S13s are nice but everyone has one and the novilty has worn off. I reckon my car would demolish a S13 now, aslong as i can get traction :doubt:

well stock it is 152kw @ engine. I got a 3" Turbo back, Stage 1 Intercooler, Pod filter. and at this stage 20psi of boost so i reckon we are talking somewhere between 180-200 kw. i will dyno it soon and do a 1/4 pass in it to see how it does.

pssht, VR4 turbo, my stock astron will nail you boy, nail you.

Dam 180-200kw...thats CRAZY seeing as stock 2.6efis only pull 92kw STOCK ATF.
you would be wanting to put WAY better breaks in it too

Brakes have been upgraded to cross drilled and slotted all round, and kevlar brake pads. Suspension will need to be improved soon, coz i can tell its not gonna hold up. Around 2 weeks till i get the car back so i will post pics up asap.
