HI all, i'm new at this forum stuff, (i can hear the sighs already) anyway i have to change out the power steering rack on a tj magna 2003 model, i have read a lot of the good info you guys have posted and purchased a later model rack with only a 100k on it, can someone please direct me to a link on how to change this puppy out, as i'm pretty handy with a set of tools but this looks like a job that needs a plan...in only 10 minutes of reading i found out why my fuel gauge only works for about 100km then goes to zero, keep up the good work guys & gals, knowing that you can help someone else with only a few written words is a powerful thing...........many thanks........cruza

What is wrong with the current rack as it is not very old.
Changing the rack should be straight forward. Just put stands under the car and carefully catch the oil when you undo the hoses. On a Toyota I owned there were brass bushes and seals that can drop out of the hose joins so be careful just in case the Magna is the same.
You will need to have the wheels aligned after the job is finished.
There is a small write up just search, its a big pain in the but though just frustrating without a hoist.
