Simple question. Will vrx grille fit a 2005 base model without having to replace the front bumper too?

Confirmed NO. I also have a 2005 base model and looked into this ages ago. Different size & shaped grill inserts means it can't be done.

I thought so. I only worked it out yesterday when I found the right colour vrx grille, it was then that I noticed the rounded bottom on mine compared to the 'v' of the vrx/gt grille... sucks, because the base model looks cheap and tacky.

Isn't D-van in Nsw/Act selling a 380 Vr-x front bar? I believe that also comes with a grill. From memory all it required was some light plastic repair work. Might be able to be with a heatgun, soldering iron and some bog lol

Yes, he does, but the bar is in SA and postage will be a killer

And it's a GT bar.

And it doesn't have the grill insert bit.

And it's a bit scratched and in need of some repair.

And it's black whereas the OPs car is Platinum, so it would need respraying.

(Sorry Dan, no intention of scaring away a possible customer, just trying to save him some hassles!)
