Hi guys,

Having intermitted issues with my car cutting out power while driving and have been advised it could be the fuel pump.

As such can someone please advise me how to remove seats, locate pump and install a new one?

Magna is a wagon with 240,000 kms on the clock.

Thank you in advance for your help

Wagon fuel pumps are accessible underneath the car not from the inside of the car like the sedans

Search for the guide on how to remove the fuel sender. It's the same process as the sender is attached to the pump.

In sum:
- Remove bottom part of back seat by pulling white levers on the underside of the seat.
- Locate pump & sender assembly in middle of the floor - it is protected by a silver capping
- Undo screws and remove metal cap
- Undo fuel line (careful with the plug because it can break)
- Undo fasteners holding pump onto tank
- Jiggle/fiddle and wiggle pump & sender assembly until it is out of the tank. Will be covered in fuel so have the area around it covered with a rag and consider using gloves
- Remove pump from assembly and replace
- Repeat procedure in reverse.

Not difficult or time consuming. You just need a socket set with 10mm & 12mm sockets and varying lengths of ratchet extenders.

He has a wagon, so the above procedure from Magna.PI won't be work. As stated by 6g75, you will need to access it from under the car.
