1999 magna executive dash globes
I want to get into my dash so i can change the globe to coloured globes but have a problem removing the dash cover. There is a speed alarm button and a globe dimmer on the cover itself.when i slide the top abit it feels like the buttons are making it stuck and i dont wanna pull any harder incase it snaps, Ive only breifley looked at it so idn if i could remove them or all together. But can some one tell me how to do so. Thanks

The surround just slides out towards you. It's held in by clips so take it easy. The good news is if you break it, truck on down to the wreckers and heist one for $5.

Undo the two screws holding it in, then using your finger tips with your hands upside down, slide the top half of the part out first (will come out with a tiny bit of effort). Once it's out to the extent that you can see the inside of the top of the part, slide your fingertips in between the plastic of the cluster and the bottom edge of the surround. Pull towards you until it comes free. Undo the trip meter controls, and the dimmer control and place the surround on the passenger seat :)

Most of these parts are hard to break unless you are silly with them.
