Hi,

I have a 2nd gen verada (94) which is currently unregistered (long story). Give this car is unregistered, I've gone and bought a 3rd gen Magna (99) which is the car I use now...

The Magna has 2 good tires, 2 old tires, but otherwise does the job. The Verada has rims, and better quality tires, newish battery, and new starter motor. I'm looking to offload the verada for whatever I can get for it, needs a bit of work done to get it registered again. But given this I figure I should try and salvage what I can off the Verada before I move it on, with the Tyres and rims being the obvious candidates.

Being completely useless with cars, is there anything else I can salvage from the verada that would be compatible/useful apart from the rims/tyres and battery?

Finally, any thoughts on what the verada would be worth? In WA, needs around $1500 work according to my mechanic to meet the requirements of the pits (have had an inspection done), car goes fine otherwise, although may not have decent rims tyres on it for too much longer... done around 210,000 kms... Here's a picture of the verada.

any advice appreciated... cheers

Hi

There probably isn't a whole lot else you can transfer over to your 99 Magna. Perhaps head unit if you have a better one in the verada? But the stock head units and speakers in 3rd gen magnas are better than the 2nd gens.
If it was me, if the Magna seats are a bit worn, I would see if the verada front seats would fit into the 3rd gen as I think the 2nd gen seats are more comfortable. (I have never tried this, so not sure if they measure up, but they are easy to take out and try anyway).

I have a 3rd Gen interior in my 2nd Gen Verada so it should fit. Front seats were straight bolt up, rear seat was a little tricky but can be done. Door cards or inserts won't fit. I'd sell the TH and fix up the 2nd Gen but then again i'm a big 2nd Gen fan even though i own a 3rd Gen too !!
